From Farm Fields to Solar Fields: The Journey of Jared McBrearty

Jared McBrearty, a proud Connecticut native, has spent most of his life building—both literally and figuratively. His work ethic took root early, starting at just 11 years old with odd jobs and farm work during the summers. By 16, he was pouring concrete, and before long, he had worked his way up through the ranks to foreman and supervisor roles.

In 2011, Jared launched his first concrete construction business. During the slow winter months, he and a close friend began tackling interior renovation projects—a partnership that would later evolve into A1 Home Improvement. Over the past 15 years, Jared has transitioned into full-scale home renovations and property investments, mastering the art of house flipping and business growth.

Since officially joining A1 Home Improvement in 2022, Jared has helped quadruple the company’s revenue, expanding divisions in roofing, siding, and windows. Beyond operations, he’s passionate about mentoring others, refining installation techniques, and driving innovation across every aspect of the business.

A lifelong learner and avid reader, Jared’s curiosity and discipline continue to fuel his success. Most recently, he helped launch A1 Solar, bringing trusted construction experience and solar industry expertise together to create one of Connecticut’s emerging leaders in renewable energy.

From his first concrete pour to powering homes with clean energy, Jared McBrearty’s story is one of grit, growth, and vision—proof that hard work and passion can truly build a brighter future.
